If you are using Windows Vista and Internet Explorer, certain security settings may affect your ability to save and resume GoVenture simulation files. Not all systems will have this issue, but if yours does, take note of the following:

* To avoid these issues altogether, try using a different Internet browser, such as Firefox .

* The GoVenture AutoSave feature may not work. The AutoSave feature is a helpful precautionary feature and should not be relied upon for saving your GoVenture progress. You should frequently save your GoVenture simulation from the GoVenture Setup menu.

* When you try to save your GoVenture simulation, Vista may display a security message requesting permission to allow the save to proceed. You must choose to allow the save. But note that Vista may not save the GoVenture simulation file in the location that you have chosen. For example, even though you may choose to save the file on your Desktop, or on "C:\My Documents", or some other location on your computer, Vista may actually save the file somewhere else. Vista will normally display a message alerting you of this save location. Be sure to take note of it and open the location that Vista displays. You may also want to drag your saved GoVenture file elsewhere so it is easier to find.

* If you have saved your GoVenture simulation file and are having trouble finding it, it is probably because of the above issue. Use Windows to search for files with a .LST extension. Search everywhere on your computer using this criteria: *.LST
