Important Tips for Saving Your GoVenture Online Simulation ...Computers crash. Hardware fails. Power outages occur. And when they do, we lose our data. Don't let this happen to you! Follow these simple steps to ensure your hard work won't be lost.(1) Save your simulation frequently (every 20 or 30 minutes).(2) Each time you save, use a different filename. This way, you will have several saved files you can go back to. To keep your files organized, simply add a sequential number to the name. Better yet, add the date and time. Examples: MySim01, MySim02, MySim_Mar23_0423, etc.(3) Some GoVenture simulations include an auto-save feature that will frequently save your simulation automatically for you. If prompted to enable auto-save, you should do so. (But don't rely on the auto-save feature alone — you should still follow steps 1 and 2 above!)(4) Back up your saved files. Always keep a copy of your files somewhere else, preferably in a completely different location, like at home, school, work, or an Internet server. If something bad does happen, try resuming the latest saved file you have (or which has been auto-saved). Don't just follow these tips with GoVenture. Follow them with all your computer files.ReplyNov 23, 2009 10:22 EDTThread 1
